POSITION SUMMARY

Manage new and existing accounts. Performs sales and service functions for targeted Life and Neuroscience markets, programs, and additional coverage as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Contact current and prospective customers to sell and explain equipment and services.
  • Initiate contact and follow-up with customers to resolve problems, collect payment or missing information, and answer questions, correspondence.
  • Prepare, process, review and monitor various documents.
  • Provide initial support for systems and software (technical support).
  • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
  • Provides reports, advisory support and assistance to the department supervisor as needed.
  • Attends trade shows to sell, support existing clients, network, and learn.
  • Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends, regulations in the marketplace.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Degree (Electrical/Computer) and/or Neuroscience Degree.
  • Industry experience and sales experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, policies, documents and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skill and ability to meet people, listen, and sell.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, pro-rata, percentages, currency conversions and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Technical skill to use a variety of software packages and provide remove customer support.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel is moderate and includes periodic trade show events and system installs at customer facility. Most contact with customers is by phone and email correspondence.
